History of Evektor

Evektor was founded in 1991. Since 1992 it has been active in the area of aircraft development and design. In the second half of 1990s we were cooperating with Aero Vodochody on the development of the Aero Ae 270 Ibis, a small passenger airplane. Our designers developed the airframe of this airplane including its systems. Currently we are developing our own airplanes – the EV-55 Outback and the VUT100 Cobra.

Evektor´s activity isn’t focused solely on the activities in the aircraft industry, but it cooperates more and more with important European car companies (Volkswagen Group and others) and other companies from the area of mechanical engineering and consumer industry. Since 1994 we have been successfully cooperating with German company Andreas STIHL, which belongs to one of the three fundamental pillars of Evektor´s business activities.

The EuroStar and the SportStar belong among the most successful airplanes on the market.  Till now more than 1 000 units have been manufactured and sold.

Letoun VUT100 Cobra

Development of the VUT100 Cobra is made in cooperation with the Aircraft Institute of Brno VUT.

EV-55 Outback - nová budoucnost českého leteckého průmyslu

The new turboprop airplane EV-55 Outback is being developed in a wide cooperation with other companies grouped in the Association of Aircraft Industry of the Czech Republic.

2003 Gaining of the European certificate for the EV-97 VLA Harmony
2003 Completion of the new company headquarters in Kunovice
2004 Initiation of the EV-55 Outback development
2004 The maiden flight of the VUT100 Cobra prototype
2005 The SportStar airplane gained the certificate in the S-LSA category as the first airplane ever
