Evektor reveals SportStar RTC with Dynon SkyView glass cockpit at Aero Friedrichschafen

At Aero Friedrichshafen Evektor´s EASA CS-LSA Certified SportStar RTC was first time introduced  with Dynon SkyView full redundancy Glass Cockpit with 10” EFIS and 7” EMS screens, ADAHRS module, dual GPS Mapping and 3D Terrain / Synthetic Vision System. Dynon SkyView was selected by Evektor for the SportStar RTC as it represents the latest development and innovations in the area of of glass panels on the market of light sport airplanes.

The presented SportStar RTC, bearing F-HMAD registration, was equipped with COMM/NAV/VOR/LOC Garmin GNC 255 reciever where HSI, vertical / lateral course guidance and bearing pointers are shown on SkyView. Evektor focus on latest technologies represents also installation of Apple´s i-Pad mini in F-HMAD SportStar RTC. I-pad mini is bringing to pilots extended convenience and functionality in the cockpit, beside airplane´s manuals and check lists, it can display EnRoute charts, all the approach plates, actual weather and other applications.

With the advanced SkyView glass cockpit, ballistic recovery system, low operating costs and excellent training platform the SportStar RTC represents the most innovative solution for air clubs and pilot training organizationson the today´s market.

On April 9th at Evektor´s booth at Aero Friedrichshafen the SportStar RTC, registration mark F-HMAD, was handed over by Evektor´s Marketing Manager Vit Kotek to Fabrice Hoffmann from Aero4YouEvektor´s distributor in France. The SportStar F-HMAD will join the airclub Les Alcyons, one of the biggest and most important clubs in Paris area, having operation at Saint Cyr I´Ecole (LFPZ) airfield near Versailes castle.

SportStar RTC gained EASA certification in May / 2012 and is fully adapted for an intensive training from ab-initio pilot to complete PPL / LAPL in air clubs and ATO.

SportStar RTC is manufactured by Evektor-Aerotechnik, EASA Certified manufacturer with over 40 year experience, sales network in 40 countries globally and fleet of 1.200+ delivered aircraft. Beside production of two-seat airplanes for pilot training and pilot touring Evektor’s long-time experience in design and development of General Aviation airplanes has become a base for the latest company’s projects of 4-seat aircraft VUT100 Cobra and new generation twin engine turboprop EV-55 Outback for transportation of 9-14 passengers / cargo.

Evektor introduces SportStar EPOS plus with the new 100 hp electric motor at Aero Friedrichshafen

Electric powered aircraft SportStar EPOS made the first public debut at Aero 2013, just after its first aircraft flight. After following 12 months of SportStar EPOS flight testing Evektor is introducing  further innovations at Aero 2014. Major innovation is a new even more powerful engine delivering 75 kW continuous power, it means more than the most powerful Rotax 914. This makes the SportStar EPOS dominant and unique on the market of electric powered aircraft.

SportStar EPOS has also newly installed on-board battery charger that significantly enhances electromobility of the aircraft. Aircraft batteries can be charged from a common power socket available at airports. The presented SportStar EPOS has also design facelift of engine cowlings.

The SportStar EPOS airplane represents a concept of sport aircraft of the future - driven by an electric motor, environment friendly, with low operation and maintenance costs. The original power unit represents the top of performance series of drives.

Flight simulator SimStar Bravo presented by Evektor at Aero Friedrichshafen

Aero 2014 has become a debut for the new flight simulator SimStar. The SimStar Bravo is a light sport  aircraft FNTP simulator with a cabin environment design based on the Evektor’s worldwide popular EuroStar / SportStar product family. It has not only physical appearance of the Evektor built ULL/LSA’s but also includes their matching dynamic model. Pilots will appreciate performance and handling qualities of the original aircraftthrough means of tactile cues conveniently generated by a high fidelity digitally controlled electro-mechanical force feedback system, which comes as standard with the SimStar.

The simulator’s options for visualization system range from single screen projection platform to complex visualization arrangements of cylindrical or spherical projection screens depending on the anticipated training and operational scenarios. An integrated audio installation provides an important element for a deeper user experience.

SimStar‘s architecture features a data-recording capability, used to store the time histories of simulated flights, making it a valuable source of information for post-flight analysis and an objective trainee feedback. The application of CAN network and CAN aerospace communication protocol make the SimStar’s solution compatible and open to a wide range of external products or accessories.

Flight simulator SimStar was developed by the Faculty of Information Technology of the Brno University of Technology in cooperation with Evektor company and the company VR Group.
