The first CAAC certified SportStar shipped to China

Evektor-Aerotechnik shipped the first SportStar aircraft certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) to a customer in Beijing. The aircraft will be operated by the Beijing Liang You Aviation Club for PPL training and flying of club members. The aircraft is equipped with the classic 6-pack analogue instruments, Garmin GPS Aera 500, luxurious leather interior and ballistic recovery system. “The Beijing Liang You Aviation Club has chosen the SportStar for its outstanding flight characteristics, low operating costs and flight schools proven excellent reliability” said president of Beijing Lian You Aviation Club – Mr. Wang.

Evektor-Aerotechnik is the holder of the CAAC Type Certificate for the SportStar aircraft as well as CAAC production certification and meets all the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of China for importation of the SportStar to the Chinese market.

Evektor will present the SportStar at the 2nd EU-China General Aviation Seminar in Chengdu during EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation fair on October 21 – 23, 2014 and at the Airshow China in Zhuhai on November 11 – 16, 2014.

The SportStar is a two-seat, low wing aircraft of metal construction for PPL training in flight training organizations and air clubs. The aircraft is type certified by EASA in Europe, CAAC in China and type approved in many other countries.
